13. MAC UWE
Presenting the Vice-Champion of Six Year Old German Show Jumping Horses in 2016.
This gelding gave an impressive demonstration of his jumping qualities and excellent ridability by completing four clear rounds at this year’s Bundeschampionat in Warendorf. He was placed among the top ten out of more than 120 contestants in both the qualification classes for the final. 18 horses and riders qualified for the final jump-off, where Mac Uwe came second and got the silver medal after proving his speed and agility.
It didn’t come entirely as a surprise that this horse did so well at the championships because his competition track record is pretty impressive. Sixth place at the 2016 Regional Championships for Six Year Old Show Jumping Horses in Elmshorn, numerous placings up to 1.30m and international youngster tour placings.
So Mac Uwe already has an established career as competition horse.
Mac Uwe is an impressively built, contemporary blood horse with all the qualities of a modern-day show jumper. He has the scope to effortlessly clear jumps, is unquestioningly willing, agile and intelligent. These are all the qualities a horse needs for today’s technical courses. His classic conformation and light-footed action, plus his even, well-balanced and powerful canter, make him a top-quality sport horse.
Mac Uwe’s Holstein lineage reveals where he got his talent from.
Cayado has won countless rosettes in international classes with Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and junior rider Teike Carstensen. His very interesting pedigree is another reason why he’s such an excellent jumping horse. His sire Clearway produced Clarimo, an international class stallion. Clearway’s dam, Wodka, is a sure-fire producer of performance horses with many internationally successful sons and daughters. Cayado’s dam, Irrada, was sired by Calando I whose sire is Cor de la Bryère – a stallion with a proven international show jumping track record and one of the most influential sires in modern warmblood breeding. Another significant horse in Cayado’s pedigree is the grand-dam, Errada. She is full sister to the stallions Corrado I and II, and full sister to Fayence, the mare who was paired with Contender to produce Zangersheide-licensed stallion Chellano Z. Cayado’s young offspring have already moved up to advanced level. They include Captain Morgan (Hilmar Meyer) and Castro W (Jesse Lutter).
The pedigree is rounded off by English thoroughbred Salient xx and Lantaan by Lord out of a dam by Liguster.
There’s no question that Mac Uwe is destined for the big time.
Mac Uwe – a top performer with a Grand Prix future.
