19. EASY LOVER
Easy Lover is the discovery of the year. The grey gelding was first competed at the end of 2014 in young horse classes and was immediately placed. As a six year old, he and his lady rider collected a total of 28 placings, including wins in young horse classes up to 1.30m level. This year, Easy Lover’s competition track record includes 48 placings in regular classes up to 1.30m. Although he’s only been in professional training for a short time, it’s obvious that he has a very bright future ahead of him. At the video shoot there were several gasps as he jumped the highest of obstacles with absolute confidence, calmly answering every question, going forward nicely to the jumps and clearing them with ease.
His quality is obvious when you see him jump. This, plus his excellent manners, scope and light-footedness, make him a very interesting proposition. In the ring, this compact gelding concentrates on the job at hand. He’s a light-mouthed, easy ride and always on the bit. Some of Easy Lover’s outstanding features are his excellent jump, enormous scope and easy going nature. Training this gelding will be a positive and rewarding experience because he’s clear-headed, intelligent and has a brilliant attitude.
This charming Holsteiner’s pedigree reads like a Who is Who of show jumping horse breeding.
His sire Clarimo’s pedigree includes the outstanding performance genes of Capitol I and Caletto II, combined with the bloodlines of the mares, Wisma and Wodka. At the end of 2012 Clarimo joined Rolf-Göran Bengtsson’s string and he has numerous high international placings, some over the most demanding Grand Prix courses in the world. He has produced horses such as Chardonnay (Max Kühner) and Cynar (Jessica Springsteen), confirming his lineage’s extraordinary gene pool.
The dam’s sire Carano by Capitol I, is one of the best stallions Holstein has ever had. He proved his value as a competition horse at the Olympic Games in Athens. Capitol I and the stallions he sired produce more than ten percent of Holstein show jumping horses. Cento, Cardento and Casita are three of his exceptionally talented show jumping offspring. Like all stallions sired by Capitol I, Carano initially had a successful competition career with Henrik Gundersen and his dam, state premium mare Vision, is of the famous 1463 dam line.
Cor de la Bryère, in the third generation, is the stallion that revolutionised jumping horse breeding.
This is a love story with a glittering future.
