The best young show jumpers meet in Goch: International riders warmly welcome

Goch, Germany – What began as a bold idea in 2022 has rapidly developed into one of the most prestigious and highest-paying young horse competitions in Europe: the Tiemeyer x Hetzel Young Horse Masters. Hosted at Holger Hetzel’s renowned equestrian centre in Goch, Germany, the event will once again bring together the world’s best young horses from 24 to 27 July 2025 – now with exciting new features and significantly increased prize money.

The competition is open to five- to eight-year-old show jumpers from all international studbooks – no prior qualification required. The organiser will arrange the guest licenses, ensuring international riders can participate easily and without hassle.

The prize money in the finals is unrivalled:
    • Five-year-old show jumpers = €25,000
    • Six-year-old show jumpers = €50,000
    • Seven- and eight-year-old show jumpers = €100,000 (!)

The proven competition format remains: two clear rounds over courses designed by Frank Rothenberger qualify horses for the respective finals. Rothenberger himself describes it as “a top-class show with an electric atmosphere.”

The program has been expanded to include a new 1.40/1.45m tour for older horses, giving riders additional opportunities to compete at the highest level.

Top Swiss rider Alain Jufer, who won last year’s seven- and eight-year-old final with F One’s Son MM, shared his excitement: “Sensational, truly sensational. I’m amazed at what this small team has achieved here. A fantastic event with world-class conditions.”

With flawless organization, top-level facilities and international flair, the Tiemeyer x Hetzel Young Horse Masters provides the perfect stage for young horses on their journey to the top.

Goch – where the future of show jumping begins.
