Celebration of our 15th Sport Horse Sales

The showjumping horse crowd has had to wait for a year, but now the our Sport Horse Sales are about to begin. On 27 November we will present the 15th international showjumping horse auction at our equestrian sport and -training centre. For almost a year we travelled through Europe to scout exceptional talents for this auction. The result is a collection of twenty, highly promising showjumping horses ranging between 5- and 7-yr-olds, which have already shown their metal with numerous successes in the showjumping ring. As from 28 October the auction horses can be seen online via www.holger-hetzel.de or the catalogue can be applied for.

Considering the number of satisfied clients from more than forty countries and in view of the current performances of last year’s lot, it is clear that at our auction you can score extremely special horses.

We would illustrate this with three examples of the many success stories of the horses that were auctioned in 2018. The then 5-yr-old Dallas VDL son Dacantos, purchased by the sponsor of British top-class rider Ben Maher, this season, now a 6-yr-old, won several international Youngster Tour classes under Maher's rider Guy Goosen. The Danish Carmague daughter Bella Ciao, bought last year by Joachim Schill, scored victories this year in the international Youngster Tour under Joachim’s cousin Alexander. The Holsteiner Cartani son Hakuna Matata, acquired in 2018 by Uli Horrig, also claimed a place in the limelight. Under the Belgian showjumping rider Laurens Houben he earned splendid scores in Germany in young showjumping horse classes at 1.30m level and was placed for the finals for 6-yr-old showjumping horses at the ‘Bundeschampionate’ (German Championships) in Warendorf. He proceeded to do very well indeed in the FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken.
