Cham·pi·on,

Meaning: [1] Sport: anything that takes first place in competition.

The name of this horse says it all. It’s easiest to describe his talent by comparing him to a trampoline jumper without a trampoline. Champion is a top-quality youngster with amazing presence and limitless scope. He has a powerful hind leg thrust on take-off, uses his back effectively, a quick foreleg and an excellent technique. In other words, every phase of his jump is perfect. An athletic, well-muscled frame and correct conformation make him the perfect candidate for top-level competition sport. He has a well-balanced, even canter as well as a flexible, agile, light-footed and powerful jump. A great attitude and excellent rideability, as well as the ability to clear jumps of any height, make him the perfect partner for any ambitious rider.

Champion happens to be descended from a long line of champions. This exceptionally talented horse has a first-rate pedigree. His sire Diamant de Semilly won a team gold medal at the World Equestrian Games with French rider Eric Levallios, plus European Championship medals, Nations Cups and Grand Prixs. Like his sire, Le Tôt de Semilly by Grand Veneur, Diamant de Semilly is one of France’s most successful stallions and one of the world’s best jumping horse sires. Without exception, he passes on his talent genes to his offspring.

The damsire is proven stallion Cornet’s Prinz, hailed as the finest example of legendary Cornet Obolensky’s many sons. His pedigree has an iron-clad jumping bloodline on the dam side thanks to Almox Prints, Polydor and Grannus. Cornet’s Prinz won the German Championship for Junior Riders with Guido Klatte, competed in numerous big international classes and received Ia premium status from the Oldenburg International Breeding Association in 2009.

Back in the third generation even more performance horse blood is contributed by Argentinus, the undisputed outstanding sire and producer of countless world-class sport horses.

The five year old gelding has been placed in young horse classes for his age group. He also has a lot of international competition experience and has won (several) classes in international youngster tours. Now he’s ready for the big time.
