A sweet treat you can’t refuse!

Candy is a beautiful sport horse set to take the show jumping scene by storm. She’s a well-balanced thoroughbred type with an unfailingly positive attitude and absolute concentration, whatever the task. Her consistency, intelligence and willingness, combined with a powerful take-off and scopey jump, are all ideal qualities for a competition horse. Candy has a harmonious, balanced canter and a jumping technique that makes you sit up and take notice.

If you take a look at her pedigree, it’s obvious where she gets all her outstanding qualities from. Candy’s sire Durango VDL is the first licensed stallion and an outstanding example of a horse by Zirocco Blue, sire of European repute, gold medal winner at the 2015 European Championships in Aachen with the Dutch team in Aachen and fifth in the individual competition.

Zirocco Blue unites the performance genes of international competition stallion Mr. Blue and Grand Prix horse Lux. And his dam line is no less prestigious. Narona also produced successful horse VDL Farona. And grand dam Rebekka has brought many top jumping horses into the world. Durango is a very handsome stallion with an international Grand Prix career on his résumé. Candy has inherited both his type and his charisma.

Candy’s dam Carina also produced Helios Prime, Sharn Wordley’s international horse. The dam sire Veron is a spectacular-looking stallion with modern conformation that passes on his jumping talent and agility. His pedigree also features the performance bloodlines of Quite Easy and Caretino, rounded off by the valuable contribution of trademark Holstein sire Burggraaf by Landgraf I out of a Cor de la Bryère dam. Burggraaf is internationally famous for his competition achievements with Roleof Bril and for the exceptionally successful offspring he has sired.

Six year old Candy was partnered with a junior rider when she was discovered and, even then, it was obvious that she was destined for the big time. After accumulating numerous clear rounds in young horse classes with her junior rider she was taken over by a professional. That’s when her career really took off. Round after round she surpassed all expectations, demonstrating her exceptional qualities at major showgrounds. Thanks to her consistency, competence and transcendence, Candy already has an impressive competition track record on the international youngster circuit.

Try out this sugar-coated proposition. You won’t regret it!

Shooting star Candy is predestined for major league show jumping.
