13. Lover Boy

Watch out for your women!

This one’s a real heartthrob.

Lover Boy is an expressive young horse with a beautiful silhouette and gentlemanly elegance. Always balanced, focused and careful over jumps he knows exactly how to captivate his audience. His conformation, character, responsiveness to the rider’s aids, jumping ability and general rideability make him the perfect partner.

Competition judges love his easy yet dynamic canter and his distinctive jumping technique. The five year old bay gelding already has 19 registered placings with the German Equestrian Federation, including high eight scores in young horse classes up to 1.25m.

Oldenburg-bred Lover Boy has an equally impressive pedigree.

Darshan is a very interesting young stallion descended from the world’s best jumping stallions Diamant de Semilly and Baloubet du Rouet. Diamant de Semilly helped to secure a team gold medal at the World Equestrian Games with French rider Eric Levallios, and he also won European Championship medals, Nations Cups and Grand Prixs. Like his sire, Le Tôt de Semilly by Grand Veneur, Diamant de Semilly is one of France’s most successful stallions. Without exception he passes on all his positive qualities to his offspring, three of which competed at the Europeans in Aachen: Enriques Of The Lowlands (Manuel Fernandez Saro), Charly Brown (Emma Augier de Moussac) and Utamaro d´Ecaussines (Joe Clee). He has also produced a number of other top jumping horses such as Emerald (Harrie Smolders) Sunshine (Jos Verlooy) and Prunella d’Ariel (Paola Amibilia).

Lover Boy’s dam sire Colman is also a breeding stallion of international repute and quality. This is evident by the fact that he tops the FN rating with cumulative winnings of almost EUR 3 million by his progeny and more than 150 offspring competing at one-star level or higher. Many of them, like Catwalk (Robert Whitaker) have made it to the very top of the international show jumping world. Thoroughbred stallion Heraldik xx, a top show jumping horse and popular sire, rounds off the pedigree.

Lover Boy will make an attractive addition to any competition yard.
