The Countdown to the Sunshine Tour is on
This week once again focused entirely on the training and development of our horses. While Laura and Laurens will be competing with several of their horses at a national show this weekend, preparations are simultaneously in full swing for the upcoming four-week journey to Spain for the Sunshine Tour.
Traveling with a total of 17 horses, part of our team, and our students requires one thing above all else: careful planning and thorough preparation. The journey to Spain will take three days and includes two scheduled stopovers, during which the horses will be stabled in boxes, exercised, and well cared for.
The upcoming show series in Vejer de la Frontera offers not only ideal preparation for the coming season, but also an excellent opportunity for our young horses to gain valuable experience at an international level. Accordingly, preparations are running at full speed: checklists are being completed, entries have been finalized, and the entire logistics process—from transport and health documentation to planned stopovers—has been organized down to the smallest detail. Packing the trucks has already begun, as a trip of this length with so many horses requires a substantial amount of supplies: plenty of feed and even more equipment.
Our team currently has their hands full, but thanks to many years of experience, this extensive project is once again being handled professionally and efficiently. The anticipation of (hopefully 😊) sunny days, focused training sessions, and exciting competition days in Spain is huge—and at the same time, we are very grateful to be able to make such a journey possible.
