Rider
- Began riding at the age of six
- Rode his first show with a pony called Nixe aged nine
- Switched over to horses at the age of eleven and competed in dressage and jumping classes
- First eventing outing as a twelve year old
- Competed at the German National Eventing Championship
- Horsemaster’s apprenticeship with jumping specialisation at Michael Fervers’ yard
- First one-star class at the age of 21

- Represented Germany on more than 38 Nations Cup teams
- Fourth place in the team competition at the European Show Jumping Championships in Gijon (ESP) in 1993
