More Than Helpers: The “FRANKONIA Grooms' Award” Honors Outstanding Dedication

While riders and horses took center stage in the arena, they worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every horse received the very best care: the grooms. Their work begins long before the first class of the day and often doesn't end until long after the showgrounds have fallen quiet. Without their dedication, an event like the Tiemeyer x Hetzel Young Horse Masters simply would not be possible.

That is why it was once again a matter close to our hearts to recognize the people behind the celebrated successes. Throughout the event, all grooms were treated to a complimentary breakfast each morning by Hetzel Horses GmbH, as well as free hot meals generously provided by FRANKONIA Eurobau AG together with Manuela and Uwe Schmitz.

But the appreciation did not end there. Together with Manuela and Uwe Schmitz, a very special tribute was presented once again this year: during the prize-giving ceremonies for the finals, the grooms of the top three placed horses were invited onto the podium alongside the riders. In addition to the applause of the spectators, each received a premium director's chair for well-deserved breaks, a specially designed trophy as a lasting keepsake, and a cash prize in recognition of their outstanding commitment.

This award is a powerful reminder that behind every successful horse stands a dedicated groom whose hard work often goes unnoticed, yet whose contribution to the sport is invaluable.
