The perfect way to close the year at Frankfurt Festhalle
Laurens competed at the international show at Frankfurt Festhalle last weekend and could hardly have ended the year on a better note. Once again, the atmosphere inside the Festhalle was truly unique: festive, emotional, and carried by an enthusiastic crowd. Set against an impressive backdrop with packed grandstands and a very special Christmas spirit, he presented his equine partners at their very best:
-
Capoen Blue (six-year-old by Conthargos) clearly enjoyed the imposing setting, delivering two superb clear rounds in the international Youngster Tour.
-
Flaubert du Busson (ten-year-old by Eldorado de Hus) jumped faultlessly in the CSI4* 1.40m opening class and went on to finish fifth in a 1.45m Longines Ranking class with winning round
-
Verdi’s Adel (ten-year-old by Verdi) once again impressed. In the Grand Prix of Hesse, a 1.55m Longines Ranking class on Sunday afternoon, the powerful gelding incurred only a light rail, once more proving that he is ready for the highest level of international sport.
Further highlights included:
-
Gerom (Auction Horse 2024), ridden by Michael Jung, made his mark in the demanding Youngster Tour, remaining faultless in all three starts. He finished fourth in one qualifier and claimed fifth place in the 1.35m/1.40m final for six- and seven-year-old horses.
-
Cornet Fifty MM and Lasse Nölting delivered a strong performance, finishing seventh with a clear round in the CSI4* 1.50m class
