On the Way to the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera
Last night, right on schedule at 8:30 p.m., our convoy set off on its journey , destination: Vejer de la Frontera, Spain. Three trucks with trailers, 18 horses, eight team members, endless amounts of luggage and, of course, plenty of feed for our four-legged athletes are heading south.
Covering a distance of around 2,500 kilometres requires precise planning and a great deal of experience. To ensure the most relaxed journey possible for our horses, the trip is divided into several stages. After completing the first leg, our team made a planned stop in France this morning. The horses were safely stabled, well cared for, and were able to relax and stretch their legs during long walks.
The second stage of the journey begins this evening. At the next stop, our horses will once again enjoy optimal conditions with plenty of opportunities for rest and movement before continuing on towards Andalusia.
The Sunshine Tour is one of the largest and most prestigious competition series in Europe. Four weeks of intensive sport, excellent conditions for the horses and valuable international experience now lie ahead of us, hopefully under bright sunshine (even if it doesn’t quite look like it yet… fingers crossed 😊).
We wish our entire team a safe and smooth journey and are very much looking forward to a successful time in Vejer de la Frontera!
