A worthwhile trip to Opglabbeek

Just three days after the successful conclusion of our Tiemeyer x Hetzel Young Horse Masters, Laurens and Laura travelled to the international show in Opglabbeek  and seamlessly continued the momentum from our home event. In Belgium, both riders collected numerous ribbons and delivered several promising rounds:

  • Angel D’Or (13-year-old by Askari) and Laura placed in a 1.45m world ranking class with a fantastic clear round.
  • Jet (11-year-old by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve) jumped a brilliant clear with Laura in a 1.40m CSI3* class.
  • Spotifei (9-year-old by Stolzenberg) and Laura also delivered a faultless round in a 1.35m CSI3* class.
  • Metropolitan (8-year-old by Glenfiddich) placed in all three of his starts in the Youngster Tour: after two superb clear rounds in the qualifiers, he was rewarded with another ribbon in the challenging final.
  • Verdi’s Adel (11-year-old by Verdi) produced an excellent clear in the 1.40m class.
  • Flaubert du Busson (10-year-old by Eldorado de Hus) and Laurens delivered only faultless performances, placing in both a 1.40m and a 1.45m CSI3* class, the latter earning them a strong 10th place finish.
  • The New Zealand rider Luke Dee secured a placement in a 1.50m world ranking class with his horse Gangster WW.

A weekend full of top performances that underlines the strength and depth of our team – on home soil and beyond.
