Everyone’s favourite.

Honeypie is a rare example of a light-footed and eager youngster with a beautiful dark bay coat, a modern type, lots of presence and a dynamic way of moving. Obviously, this medium-sized gelding is a pleasure to watch. Honeypie’s paces are perfectly rhythmic and regular, he uses his body very effectively with a wonderful action through the shoulder and an impressive front leg action. It’s impossible to fault this future show jumper’s wonderfully balanced jump and perfect technique. Basically, this horse’s conformation, character, jumping ability and rideability are all exceptional.

Honeypie represents a clever combination of top competition horse genes: Cornet Obolensky x Cavalier x Silbersee.

Cornet Obolensky has dominated the sport and breeding world for over a decade. The handsome grey stallion took home a gold medal from the European Championships after an impressive performance. He has won World Cup and Nations Cup classes, and he has earned more prize money than any other German horse. Cornet Obolensky is without doubt one of the world’s top sires, which is evident by his fourth position in the WBFSH sport horse breeding ranking. His offspring are flying the Cornet Obolensky flag at world championships, World Cup finals and in Grand Prix classes: including 2021 Olympics competitors Clooney (Martin Fuchs), Cannavaro (Matias Albarracin), Chilensky (Eiken Sato), Cornet d’Amour (Daniel Deusser), Comme il Faut and Cornado I (Marcus Ehning).

Cavalier, Honeypie’s dam’s sire, was one of the most successful KWPN jumping stallions on the international circuit and he competed in countless international Grand Prix classes with Franke Sloothaak. Many of his sons and daughters, such as Donna Speciale (Leslie Burr-Howard), are top-level competition horses.

The pedigree is rounded off with the amazing Silbersee, star of the 1980s with Michael Rüping, and one of the most successful stallions ever to compete at international level.

Six year old Honeypie has performed consistently in young horse classes and he is regularly placed in classes up to 1.25m level with high-eight scores. He’s got plenty of competition experience and is ready to move up through the grades.

Honeypie – feel the flair.
