14. START UP

Where great potential begins. The name says it all.

Start Up is a highly talented young horse whose possibilities appear almost limitless. The five-year-old grey gelding combines exceptional scope with an awareness and confidence over a fence that are anything but ordinary at this age. Compact and athletic, light-footed in his movement and blessed with a beautiful model, he is an athlete through and through. At the fence he produces enormous power from the ground - almost trampoline-like - while still creating an impressive feeling of lightness and reserve. But scope is not the only quality that makes Start Up special: he learns extremely quickly and approaches new questions with an unfailingly positive attitude, supported by an excellent basic education. This Italian-bred youngster is still very much in development, which makes it all the more exciting to see how much quality is already there.

His pedigree could hardly be more international: Cornet Obolensky x Le Tot de Semilly x Quidam de Revel brings together three of the most influential names in modern showjumping breeding.

Start Up has already confirmed his talent in competition. He is a winner and multiple place-getter in international Youngster Tours and has also achieved results in national young-horse classes abroad. For a five-year-old, he already possesses valuable ring experience without having been overproduced. What Start Up needs most now is simply to grow older. Scope, attitude, overview and sporting quality are already in place.

An exceptional talent at the beginning of the journey, with a big future as the goal.
